Two Sikhs Became Cabinter Ministers of Canada

On 4th November, two turbaned Sikhs Harjit Sajjan and Navdeep Bains were sworn in as the Cabinet ministers of Canada in the cabinet of 42-year-old Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

While Harjit Sajjan was appointed as the new Defense minister Navdeep Bains is given the ministry of innovation, science and economic development.

Harjit Sajjan was first time elected as MP this year. He was a decorated army official who had served in Afghanistan and Bosnia. Sajjan served as a detective in the Vancouver Police Department for over 10 years.

Navdeep Bains became the MP for the third time this year. He has also been a visiting professor at Ted Rogers School of Management, Toronto.
