The Election Commission of India has issued notices to BJP National President Amit Shah, Rahul Gandhi and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu for violating ‘Model Code of Conduct’ during their Bihar election campaign.

All the three top leaders will have to give an explanation by November 4, failing which the EC will take its own decision.

Amit Shah was asked to explain his comment of “there will be firecrackers in Pakistan if the NDA lose the Bihar elections”.

Rahul Gandhi was asked to explain his comment of ‘wherever BJP lands, it makes Hindus and Muslims fight’.

Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav was asked to explain his comment of “Narbhakshi” against Amit Shah.
