In a surprising move, a Bangladeshi High Court has ruled that the citizens of the country should not use Indian film songs on their mobiles as caller tunes or ringtones following to the hearing of a writ petition filed by a lawyer.

The lawyer, who filed the petition, argued that the import policy violates the import of Indian films in Bangladesh so songs of those films should not be used by Bangla citizens. He added that the usage of Indian songs as Value Added Services (VAS) must be prevented. The Secretaries of Information, Culture, Law and Home Ministries and all the mobile operators in Bangladesh have been asked to respond within four weeks.

It has to be seen how the citizens of Bangladesh reacts as they mostly rely on Indian films for entertainment.
