AP District MLC Election results: TDP wins Kurnool and Prakasam

Andhra Pradesh state ruling TDP has won the district MLC elections of Prakasam and Kurnool, for which the elections were conducted on 3rd June. 144 Section was implemented at the counting centers today morning.

TDP candidate Magunta Srinivasula Reddy wins against YSRCP candidate Atla Chinavenkata Reddy with a huge majority of 711 votes. Out of 755 polled votes, YSRCP candidate could only manage 13 votes. Coming to Kurnool, TDP candidate Silpa Chakrapani Reddy wins against YSRCP candidate Venkateswara Reddy. Shilpa was declared winner as she got 600 votes, more than half, in the first preference of the counting itself.

While TDP members have celebrated the victory, YSRCP members have criticized that TDP used their power to influence the elections and the officers did not curb TDP.
